West Lake

 Located in Tay Ho district, with a shoreline of 17km, West Lake (Ho Tay) is the largest lake in Hanoi and one of Hanoi's famous beautiful landscapes. Here, many cultural and historical sites associated with the history of formation and development of Thang Long ancient Citadel and Hanoi today.

West Lake has an area of over 800 hectares surrounded by well-tended gardens, high-end hotels, and villas. It is a former section of the Red River. 
 


There are more than 20 famous temples and pagodas around West Lake such as Tran Quoc Pogoda, Quan Thanh pogoda... When spring comes, ancient monuments attract thousands of pilgrims and tourists for sightseeing and visiting pagodas.
